Review Villa Magnolia è un luogo ideale per rilassarsi immersi nel verde degli uliveti, cullarsi nell'acqua salata della piscina romana e riposare in una delle quattro camere finemente arredate con pezzi d'antiquariato. I proprietari sono squisiti ed offrono un accoglienza ed un servizio eccellenti.

Villa Magnolia e un luoga incantevole perche e frutto di una ristrutturazione svolta con perizia e passione. L'atmosfera e' si familiare e accogliente ma, rispettando privacy ed esigenze individuali, non risulta mai fuori misura. I miei luoghi preferiti sona la piscina e la zono dove viene servita la colazione, due luoghi perfetti! Ho potuto sperimentare la cucina italiana di Lesley ed e' assolutamente all'altezza della nostra trdizione culinaria. Grazie Ron e Lesley. A presto!

My husband and I arrived from London exhausted and in much need of peace, tranquility,good food "far from the madding crown". Villa Magnolia delivers on all counts and then some! Ron and Lesley have painstakingly restored this beautiful country house into a very stylish 4 roomed boutique hotel. All the rooms lead off of the main very grand hallway. The clever mix of antique furniture and gorgeous contemporary bathrooms, together with many of the original features makes this house very unique. We stayed in the "Honeymoon Suite" which is just lovely. The private patio area, just outside our bedroom, is encased by a trellis wall with white jasmine cascading down the sides. The smell in the morning when you open the doors in just stunning. The house itself sits in 7 acres of land which has an abundance of olive, almond and fig trees growing. The pool and pool area that Ron has designed and built has to be seen to be believed, it is quite simply beautiful. I don't want to say anymore as it will spoil the surprise (pictures would not do it justice). Ron and Lesley also grow their own organic vegetables and salad which Lesley puts to great use in the evenings for dinner. Lesley is a great cook and even makes her own hooch which she has aptly named "Leslie's Luscious Limoncello". We spent many an evening under the stars putting the world to rights and giggling into the wee hours. Everyone should take home a bottle! Villa Magnolia delivers on so many levels. If you come in search of some quiet time in a beautiful location with excellent food and wine this is the place for you. The nearby towns and villages are architecturally beautiful and have some really good restaurants, offering the very best in fresh rustic Italian cuisine. Ron and Lesley are fantastic hosts and deserve to do well. I have a few words of advice - book now before the secret is out!

We came to Villa Magnolia for the end of our honeymoon, it was really special. The villa is beautifully and tastefully designed and decorated and all the little luxuries you could want! It is a gorgeous setting and we really appreciated your hospitality and enjoyed your company. To be recommended!

Idéalement situé au centre des Pouilles, Lesley (elle anglaise) et Ron (lui américain) vous accueillent très chaleureusement toujours avec le sourire.
Propriété de 34 000m² avec des arbres fruitiers : amandiers, figuiers, oliviers, agrumes, vigne, potager, tout est BIO (organic).
Une allée de colonnades mène à une large piscine bordée par un temple romain.
Les chambres sont spacieuses (air conditionné et chauffage) et la salle de bains superbe. La pierre est omniprésente.
Le petit déjeuner est servi en intérieur ou dehors près du four à pizza sous la vigne grimpante.
N'oubliez pas d'y dîner : la cuisine des pouilles vaut le détour. Lesley vous préparera les antipasti, les primi, les secundi pour terminer par le tiramisu (une merveille), le café et les spécialités : limoncello maison et liqueur de café maison. Les vins servis sont locaux (maison primitivo ou salente) et excellents.
Une halte incontournable entre BARI et BRINDISI.

A chi ha saputo farci sentire a casa nel giorno in ciu tutti si sentono ospiti, diciamo grazie per il calore, per i colori per i profumi che questo posto riesce ad offrirci...un lungo ponte tra le buie realta' e l'eccitante evasione. We visited Villa Magnolia in July 2008. We wanted a quiet place in which to relax and spend time with our family, it was the perfect choice. We felt very welcome, Lesley and Ron were on hand, should we need anything, but they respected our privacy to be alone as a group . The Villa itself has lots of character, Rons attention to detail is evident everywhere you look, even down to the hand carved wall lights, which he was finishing while we were there, one of our party even helped him to make one!

The pool area can only be described as perfect, the salt water pool is stunning and the spa/temple area where we all enjoyed various treatments is beautiful! We all had a fantastic time and would recommend it to anyone wanting 'time out'. Thank you both so much for everything,

We have just recently returned from a two week break at Villa Magnolia in Puglia. Rarely have we experienced such a relaxing and unique holiday and thought it only right that we let others know of this newly opened little gem near Ostuni.

The villa only opened in July 2008 so we were rather fortunate to have the place virtually to ourselves for the majority of our stay. Having said that it only has four rooms so even if it was fully booked it would hardly feel overcrowded since both the building and grounds are so spacious.

The owners, Ron and Lesley, could not do enough for us managing to strike that difficult balance of staying discreetly in the background whilst ensuring all our holiday needs were met. We enjoyed many a late night conversation over a bottle of Lesley's homemade limoncello. They have obviously worked very hard in converting what once was an old ruin into a lovely home and small hotel. The decor and furniture are in keeping with the age of the building with the added luxury of modern bathrooms.

The attention to detail continues into the grounds where the salt water pool is to die for. It is easily large enough to justify accommodation three times the size that the villa actually provides. We have never experienced such a clear and fresh pool before.

Accommodation at the villa includes breakfast as standard and while we were there Lesley was kind enough to offer the odd lunch. The option to have an evening meal at the Villa is available, but not every night. When the option was there we jumped at it since Lesleys cooking was fantastic (most dishes being made from organic home grown produce from the grounds at the villa). The options to eat out are plentiful but a car is necessary to reach them.

The location of Villa Magnolia is great for getting around and seeing the sights of Puglia. You are just 10-15 minutes drive from Ostuni, 10 minutes from the coast and about 30 minutes drive from the Trulli town of Alberobello which we finally got around to visiting on our way home via Bari airport.

We would certainly recommend Villa Magnolia to anyone who wants to visit Puglia.
